Singularly Perturbed Cauchy Problem for Abstract Linear Differential Equations of Second Order in Hilbert Spaces∗
We study the behavior of solutions to the problem { ε (u′′ ε (t) +A1uε(t)) + u ′ ε(t) +A0uε(t) = fε(t), t ∈ (0, T ), uε(0) = u0ε, uε(0) = u1ε, as ε → 0, where A1 and A0 are two linear self-adjoint operators in a Hilbert space H. متن کاملApproximation of singularly perturbed linear hyperbolic systems
This paper is concerned with systems modelled by linear singularly perturbed partial differential equations. More precisely a class of linear systems of conservation laws with a small perturbation parameter is investigated. By setting the perturbation parameter to zero, the full system leads to two subsystems, the reduced system standing for the slow dynamics and the boundary-layer system repre...
متن کاملA Singularly Perturbed Linear Eigenvalue Problem in C1 Domains
where ν is the outward unit normal vector on ∂Ω; ν exists a.e. for Lipschitz domains. The goal of this paper is to understand the asymptotic behavior of Λ(γ) as γ → ∞ when ∂Ω ∈ C1. Since Λ(γ) → ∞ when γ → ∞, (2) can be viewed as a singularly perturbed linear eigenvalue problem. The asymptotic behavior of Λ(γ) was first studied by Lacey, Ockendon and Sabina in [3], where they investigated some r...
متن کاملNear-optimal control of linear multiparameter singularly perturbed systems
In this note, the linear quadratic optimal control for multiparameter singularly perturbed systems is studied. The attention is focused on the design of a new near-optimal controller. The resulting controller achieves approximation of the optimal cost. The proposed algorithm has been numerically tested on a real physical example and produced useful results.
متن کاملThe Guaranteed Cost Control Problem of Uncertain Singularly Perturbed Systems
In this paper we study the algebraic Riccati equation corresponding to the guaranteed cost control theory for an uncertain singularly perturbed system. The construction of the controller involves solving the full-order algebraic Riccati equation with small parameter ε. Under control-oriented assumptions, we first provide the sufficient conditions such that the full-order algebraic Riccati equat...
